Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival, an exciting annual celebration of our rich local maritime history, culture, music, and food will take place between 26 May to 4 June 2017, located on the stunningly beautiful landscapes and waters between Ballycastle and Rathlin Island on the spectacular north coast of Ireland, on the Cool Route and right in the heart of the Causeway Coast and Glens.
The festival is about inspiring a passion for the sea as well as celebrating local culture and will bring together a rich mix of activities and events both on the sea and on land, including historic and modern sea craft, lifeboat and helicopter displays and various other boating, sailing and water based activities, a seafood themed food and craft market each weekend of the festival, foraging expeditions on Rathlin Island as well as cooking demonstrations, special maritime themed food and drink menus with free whisky tastings from the famous Bushmills Distillery, the world’s oldest licensed distillery and much more.
Come and join in with the range of exciting activities available to try including sailing experiences, outdoor pursuits tasters such as kayaking, boat trips, angling trips as well as lots of free events to enjoy including plenty of family friendly activities.
